Decorative Stainless Steel Tube — Architectural & Structural Sections
ZEMSS supplies decorative stainless steel tube in round, square, rectangular, and oval sections for architectural, furniture, handrail, and urban infrastructure applications. Produced by high-frequency TIG welding and drawn to close OD tolerances, with surfaces mechanically polished to No.4, hairline (HL), or mirror finish to suit project specifications.
Grade 304 covers the majority of indoor, sheltered outdoor, and urban applications. Grade 316L is specified for coastal environments, chemical plant walkways, and any installation where surface pitting from chloride exposure would be unacceptable over a 20+ year service life. Each length ships with a mill test report confirming grade and mechanical properties to ASTM A554 or EN 10296-2.

Key Properties
- Consistent OD tolerance — Cold-drawn to tight OD tolerances (±0.1mm on standard sizes), enabling accurate fitting and jointing without shimming. Critical for system handrail and modular balustrade assembly.
- Weld-free exterior surface — Internal weld bead is retained (not decorative tubing from which weld must be removed), but external surface shows no weld seam line post-polishing. Enables consistent surface finish along the full tube length.
- Grade 316L for coastal durability — In marine or urban polluted environments, 304 may develop surface rust staining within 5–10 years. 316L specification ensures acceptable appearance over 25+ year design life in harsh environments.
- PVD coating hardness — Physical vapour deposition produces a titanium nitride or zirconium nitride surface harder than the substrate. Scratch resistance significantly higher than painted or lacquered alternatives.
- Mitre-cut & custom length service — Tube can be cut to exact length with square or mitre ends. Eliminates on-site cutting waste and reduces installation time.
