Stainless Steel Channel Bar — C-Section & U-Section Supply

ZEMSS supplies stainless steel channel bar (C-channel and U-channel sections) for structural framing, cable management systems, conveyor rails, and industrial fabrication. Produced by hot rolling or cold forming to ASTM A276 and EN 10088-3, each bar is traceable to heat number and supplied with a mill test report (MTR) confirming grade, chemical composition, and mechanical properties.

Grade 304 is specified for standard indoor and sheltered applications. Grade 316L is used in food processing, pharmaceutical, coastal, and chemical environments where chloride exposure or aggressive cleaning chemicals would cause premature corrosion in 304 steel.

Key Properties

Open section efficiency — C-section provides high bending stiffness-to-weight ratio in the web direction. The open face allows easy access for bolting, cable routing, or bracket attachment without drilling through a closed section.
Hygienic design compatibility — U-channel orientation (open face upwards or downwards) accommodates cove-welded joints with no hidden crevices. Critical in food and pharmaceutical fabrication where crevice corrosion and bacteria entrapment must be eliminated.
Strut channel for flexible installation — Cold-formed slotted strut channel (Unistrut-compatible profile) allows bolt-in-slot adjustment without drilling. Used in pipe support systems, cable trays, and equipment mounting.
Weldable to all standard stainless grades — TIG or MIG welded using matching filler. Pre-cut, pre-drilled, or pre-punched at our facility to reduce on-site fabrication time.
No coating required — Stainless steel channel does not require paint, galvanising, or powder coat. Long-term maintenance-free performance in corrosion-rated environments.
