Sanitary Stainless Steel Tube — Food, Dairy & Pharmaceutical Grade

ZEMSS supplies sanitary-grade (hygienic) stainless steel tube manufactured to DIN 11850, ISO 1127, and 3-A Sanitary Standards. Tubing is produced by TIG welding and drawn to achieve a smooth, crevice-free internal surface that meets CIP (clean-in-place) and SIP (sterilise-in-place) process requirements. Available in 304 for standard food and beverage lines, and 316L for pharmaceutical, dairy, and any application in contact with aggressive cleaning chemicals or chloride-bearing media.

Internal surfaces are supplied to Ra ≤ 0.8µm (mechanically polished), Ra ≤ 0.4µm (BA finish), or Ra ≤ 0.25µm (electropolished) to match GMP process specifications. Each length ships with an MTR and, on request, a surface roughness measurement certificate.

Key Properties

CIP/SIP compatible — Smooth, crevice-free internal bore with full weld penetration. Internal bead is removed to prevent product retention. Compatible with caustic, acid, and steam sterilisation cycles.
Full traceability — Heat number and material grade stamped on each length. MTR from the original mill confirming composition and mechanical properties to DIN 11850 or ISO 1127.
GMP-ready documentation — Surface roughness measurement certificates available on request. Supports pharmaceutical qualification (IQ/OQ) documentation packages.
316L for critical lines — Molybdenum content (2–3%) provides superior resistance to chloride pitting and acidic cleaning chemicals (HNO₃/H₃PO₄ CIP cycles). Preferred for final product contact surfaces in pharmaceutical and dairy.
Tri-clamp compatible — Ends machined to ISO 2852 / 3-A tri-clamp ferrule dimensions as standard option. Enables rapid, tool-free disassembly for hygienic inspection and cleaning.
