Custom Stainless Steel Site Furnishings — Urban Infrastructure Fabrication
ZEMSS is a specialist manufacturer of custom stainless steel site furnishings and urban infrastructure components for landscape architects, civil contractors, municipal authorities, and public realm developers. Products are fabricated to your drawings or design brief at our 12,000㎡ Taiyuan facility, using mill-certified 304 or 316L plate and tube stock. Each project includes full dimensional inspection and mill test report documentation as standard.
Grade 304 covers the majority of sheltered, inland, and temperate coastal applications. Grade 316L is specified for projects within 500m of the sea, in aggressive urban air-pollution zones, or anywhere long-term surface appearance is critical and chloride-induced pitting would be unacceptable. Surface finish is typically No.4 brushed for exterior public spaces, or as specified by the project architect.

Key Properties
- Long service life with minimal maintenance — Stainless steel site furnishings require no painting, galvanising, or coating reapplication. In the correct grade, surface appearance is maintained over a 25–50 year design life. Total lifecycle cost significantly lower than powder-coated mild steel or galvanised alternatives.
- Grade selection for environment — Coastal and urban polluted environments expose site furnishings to chloride aerosol, acid rain, and de-icing salt. Grade 316L (with 2–3% Mo) provides superior resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in these conditions compared to 304. We advise grade selection based on project site location and exposure category.
- Pattern and aesthetic flexibility — Tree grates, drainage covers, and screens can be laser-cut to any pattern — geometric, organic, or branded. Landscape architects submit DXF pattern files directly. Fabrication from approved drawing without further interpretation.
- Load-rated designs — Drainage channels, tree grates, and manhole covers designed and fabricated to EN 1433 load class requirements (A15 pedestrian to D400 heavy traffic) with structural calculations available on request.
- Export-packed for safe shipment — Items wrapped in protective film, padded, and secured in wooden crates for sea freight. No surface damage on arrival under standard freight conditions.
