Each plate ships with a material test report (MTR) confirming chemical composition and mechanical properties to ASTM A240 or EN 1.4404. Cut-to-size, polished, or further fabricated at our 12,000㎡ Taiyuan facility — one supplier from raw material to finished component.
316L (low-carbon variant of 316) is the standard specification for corrosion-critical environments: chemical processing, pharmaceutical equipment, coastal infrastructure, and food production. The 0.03% maximum carbon ceiling eliminates sensitisation during welding, making it the preferred grade for fabricated assemblies that undergo multi-pass welding or post-weld annealing.

Key Properties
- Superior chloride resistance — 2–3% Mo content prevents pitting and crevice corrosion in saltwater, coastal, and chloride-rich environments where 304 fails.
- Low-carbon weld-friendly — “L” suffix limits carbon to 0.03% max. Eliminates carbide precipitation during welding (sensitisation), removing the need for post-weld annealing in most applications.
- Wide temperature range — Continuous service from cryogenic temperatures up to 870°C (1,600°F). Preferred for both low-temperature process piping and elevated-temperature chemical reactors.
- Full food and pharma compliance — Meets FDA 21 CFR, EU 1935/2004 food contact requirements and GMP surface finish standards.
- Non-magnetic in annealed state — Fully austenitic structure with negligible magnetic permeability. Cold work increases permeability slightly.
